Helping out at Whitechapel Mission

Why did we decide to volunteer our team at Reyker?
We were motivated to volunteer coming up to the Christmas period when it is typical for firms in the industry to exchange gifts such as bottles of wine, chocolates or other tokens of appreciation to acknowledge their relationship throughout the year.

We wanted to do something different.

We were inspired by our Chairman who previously gave up his time to cook for homeless people over the Christmas season.

Why did we choose the Whitechapel Mission?
We made a connection with the Whitechapel Mission. We wanted to do something to support their initiative and give our time and skills as a team to provide cooked meals for those who may be homeless or have complex needs and require support.

This organisations empathy and generosity is uplifting and gives hope to many. Their support gives the chance for people to make lasting changes in their lives.

They see as many as 300 men and women each day. They are open 365 days a year. The increase in people sleeping rough on the streets of London has risen 169% since 2010, so the work they do and the volunteers they rely on are paramount to the service.

We wanted help in a small way and contribute to the positive impact they have for many.
